General Information
Location
Actually inside Terminal 3 Arrivals landside, making it the only hotel located within the terminal building itself.
About the Hotel
Aerotel is a compact, no-frills airport transit hotel designed for short stays, with flexible check-in times and room blocks available by the hour. It’s ideal for travellers with early departures, long layovers or overnight delays who need a convenient, quiet rest space without having to clear security. Rooms are windowless but well soundproofed and air-conditioned.
Typical Rates
There are some eye watering rates being charged; £300 for just a few hours, though with notice it is around £170 - still double the price of a full 24 hours in a 4* hotel, 10 minutes away by bus on the Bath Road.
Things We Love
Located inside T3 so no transport needed.
Flexible hourly booking options.
WiFi and power outlets for working or charging devices.
Things to Consider
Windowless small rooms can feel claustrophobic.
No restaurant.
Very expensive.
Not a conventional hotel.
Rooms and Comfort
Rooms come in Solo (10m²), Double and Family sizes, all with en-suite showers, quality bedding and blackout features. Soundproofing is apparently effective, and although compact, rooms are clean and well designed for transit passengers.
Getting There
If arriving at T3: walk directly from arrivals
If arriving at another terminal: take the free train or Elizabeth Line to Central Bus Station and walk to Terminal 3 arrivals.
Dining and Amenities
There is no full-service restaurant, but tea and coffee are available. A vending area provides snacks and essentials. There is a M&S and coffee shop nearby. See the 'Local food' tab for what is available in the terminal.
Summary
A practical and efficient sleep option for Terminal 3 travellers needing short-term rest or an overnight stay without leaving the airport, albeit an expensive one.
