New Bettola sits in Colnbrook, the old coaching village just beyond the western edge of the airport, about a ten minute drive from Terminal 5 and the Bath Road hotels. It is a traditional Italian restaurant with a wood-fired pizza oven, a cocktail bar and a rear garden. It runs a small guest house alongside.

The head chef is Italian and the menu is pizza from the wood oven, pasta and breads and cakes baked on site. The restaurant describes its cooking as ricette della nonna, recipes handed down at home.

Delivery runs to addresses within three miles, which covers the Colnbrook and M4 hotels, with a £20 minimum. Collection is 15% off if you would rather pick it up. Evening tables fill, so book ahead if you are eating in before an early flight.
