Cookies

What cookies we use and how to control them.

Last updated 17 September 2026.

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use only the cookies needed to run the site and keep it secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through.

The cookies we use

Analytics

We measure how the site is used with privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. It counts visits and page views in aggregate. It sets no cookie, does not store your IP address and cannot identify you or follow you across other sites. Because it stores nothing on your device, it needs no consent.

Maps and booking links

Hotel and area maps are drawn in your browser from map images supplied by Mapbox, using map data from OpenStreetMap. Nothing is requested from Mapbox until you open a map. When you do, Mapbox receives your IP address so it can send the images. It sets no cookie on this site. When you click a booking or “check rates” link you leave our site for a partner such as Booking.com; the affiliate code that credits a booking to us travels in the link itself, not in a cookie on this site.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working, such as staying signed in.

Third-party services

Some content is provided by third parties whose services appear on our pages, or whom you choose to visit. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply:

For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy policy.
