Sofitel Heathrow T5 is the only 5-star hotel at Heathrow. Rooms typically run £180 to £420 a night. It is attached to Terminal 5 by covered walkway. It suits travellers flying from Terminal 5 who want a traditional 5-star premium hotel.

The review

Rates start from around £170 a night. The rooms are well maintained but some are showing their age and there is no swimming pool. If you want the best hotel Heathrow has to offer and convenience that no other property can match for T5, this is it.

Owned by Arora Group, the Sofitel offers 605 rooms and suites, designed with quiet luxury and French-inspired interiors. Facilities include a luxury spa, 24-hour gym, hydrotherapy pool, two acclaimed restaurants, a tea salon for afternoon tea and an executive lounge.

Who is this hotel best for?

Travellers who want the best Heathrow has to offer and are prepared to pay for it. Business travellers flying from T5 who value being a short covered walk from departures without any transfer. Accor Platinum and Diamond members who will benefit from executive lounge access. Anyone wanting a spa, fine dining and room service under one roof at the airport. Not the right fit for anyone on a budget or probably flying from terminals other than T5.

Summary

Sofitel Heathrow provides an easy experience for travellers wanting a high-end stay with the convenience of not needing to leave the airport.
