Aerotel Heathrow is a hotel you can book by the hour and is inside Terminal 3, landside in the arrivals area. Rooms typically run £170 to £300 a night. It suits travellers flying from Terminal 2 or 3 who want a hotel for a few hours.

The review

A no-frills transit hotel for short stays, with rooms by the hour and flexible check-in. Useful for an early departure, a long wait between flights or an overnight delay when you want somewhere to rest. Efficient, but you pay heavily for the location.

Rates are high: around £300 for just a few hours, or about £170 with notice, still double the price of a full 24 hours in a 4-star hotel ten minutes away by bus on the Bath Road.

Summary

A practical and efficient sleep option for Terminal 3 travellers needing short-term rest or an overnight stay without leaving the airport, albeit an expensive one.
